The Philippines has the fast-growing HIV epidemic in Asia and the Pacific. Mae (not her real name) is a 13-year-old girl from Valenzuela City who was born with HIV. She is currently a student and recently started her first year of high-school. UNAIDS spoke to her about her experience.
Veena has been living with HIV for more than 15 years and works as a community educator in Bangalore, India. But she still remembers the day she learned of her HIV-positive status.
JAKARTA, 30 November 2016—The Queen of Indonesian Rap, Denada Tambunan and the prominent actress Atiqah Hasiholan are among an impressive list of well-known celebrities who are supporting the #SayaBerani (I am Brave) campaign, ahead of World AIDS Day on 1 December. This is one of the first major campaigns to widely use the power of social media to promote HIV testing in Indonesia.
